Cancellation Policy

DEPOSITS:

  • Deposits are non-refundable, as they are usually spent immediately to reserve your lodging and other travel arrangements.
  • For trips in North America, the deposit is $200
  • For other international trips, the deposit is $500
  • The balance of your trip fee is due 45 days before the start date of your trip or can be paid in convenient installments at no extra charge.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Cancellation charges reflect the expenses Indie Travel Club cannot recover if you cancel, even if you must do so due to illness, injury, or personal emergencies. The charges reflect the expenses we have incurred in planning your travel and making reservations for you with other agencies.

Please understand that once you’ve signed up, we lose the right to sell your reserved space to other individuals or groups for however long you are registered. We recognize that the majority of those who cancel their reservations do so out of necessity. Please note that we can not make any refunds for any unused portion of your trip, not arriving, arriving late, or leaving the trip early.

Cancellation date is the date the notice is received by e-mail to indietravelclub@gmail.com

EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY CANNOT BE MADE FOR ANY REASON.

In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your trip, your refund will be determined according to the following formula:

Trip fees may be transferred from one person to another if you are able to sell your space on the trip.


Indie Travel Club reserves the right to cancel or alter a trip due to unforeseen weather, unsafe conditions, low registrations or other circumstances. On the rare occasion when Indie Travel Club must cancel a trip, all payments received to date will be refunded, including the non-refundable portion of your deposit. Indie Travel Club is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips, including airplane tickets. We advise waiting to purchase flights until 90 days before the trip

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRIP CANCELLATION/TRIP INTERRUPTION INSURANCE, WHICH COVERS YOUR COST IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR INTERRUPT YOUR TRIP for medical reasons, trip delay, lost baggage, and other unforeseen emergencies. In order to avoid disappointment and expense in the event that you must cancel your trip we strongly urge you to purchase some type of insurance coverage.
